Preservation Guide
Washing & Jersey Care
Protect your flock sponsors, embroidered crests, and fabric weave by following these essential preservation rules.
The Do’s
- Turn Inside-Out: Always invert the shirt before washing to avoid abrasion against badges and sponsor flock.
- Cold Wash Only (30°C): Wash on a delicate cycle. High water temperatures weaken heat-bonded logos.
- Mild Liquid Detergent: Use gentle detergents. Never use fabric softeners, bleach, or optical brighteners.
- Air Dry Naturally: Hang the jersey to dry on a plastic or padded hanger out of direct scorching sunlight.
The Don’ts
- NEVER Tumble Dry: Dryer heat is the #1 cause of peeling vinyl and warped jersey collars.
- No Direct Ironing: Never run an iron directly across felt crests, name fonts, or sponsors.
- Do Not Wring: Avoid twisting the shirt forcefully when wet to prevent stretching jacquard stitches.
- No Dry Cleaning: Industrial solvents will dissolve screen prints and delicate adhesive backings.
